This morning as I was reading I found something else that really caught my attention in a different light.  Proverbs 31 " she makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks"
Now , in this day and age most people don't make their own clothes, but we do set our own fashion sense.  We present an image in everything we do...what we wear, how we wear it, what does what we wear say about us.   As women of God we have to be sure that what we are presenting is what God wants us to say, be, do and show.  Be sure of how you dress today so that you are telling and speaking to others what God wants us to say.

  1. At church, we teach the girls that virtue is most important, and modesty will help with virtue. You will not usually see our girls wearing the latest fashion that will expose parts of their bodies that are best left covered.

Along those lines, many mothers (including me) make their daughter's dresses so that they are modest, especially the ones for big events. Hard to find modest ones in the stores these days.

  2. And that's exactly my point Karen....much of the world would have us "exposing" our children in ways that are far too suggestive and not appropriate. What and how we as women both professionally and personally sets an example for our girls and I truly believe that we need to be much more conscience of that. We don't have to make our own cloths (and those that do kuddos..I don't have that skill), but we have a choice of what we purchase and how we present ourselves to those around us.
